The Bible is His love letter and through its pages we discover who God is, and in discovering who God is, we discover who we truly are. Spending time in caring, in-depth study of the Word of God will absolutely change your life. And spending time in community with other ladies who are studying the Word together will challenge and grow your faith exponentially.

This fall we are starting a new journey following the footsteps of Jesus through the gospel of Matthew. We will journey step by step, chapter by chapter, verse by verse through the Living Word as we learn more about the promised Messiah who came to give us life. If you've felt God's push to study the Word in depth, join us this fall! You will never be the same!

ABOUT THE CLASS

This is a Women's Class

WED at 9:30 AM - 11:30 AM

Community Bible Study Gardendale's main, in person study is a women's study with a children's program. We meet on Wednesdays at Gardendale First Baptist Church's North Campus from 9:30 am to 11:30 am. Start date for this class is September 4th.

God has opened the door to several other options for those who would like to study the Word in depth in community, but aren't able to attend our Wednesday morning class:

On Thursday evenings at 7 pm we have a dedicated Online Core Group. Start date is September 5th.

On Monday evenings from 6:30 to 8 pm we have a Tri County Remote Core Group that meets at New Temple Baptist Church in Dora, AL. Start date is September 9th.

On Thursday evenings from 5 to 6:30 pm we have a Co-Ed Young Adult Remote Core Group for young adults from 18 to 25. This group meets at Gardendale First Baptist's south campus. Start date is September 5th.

When you register you can choose either our daytime option, online option, or remote options.

Currently Studying: Matthew

Our Children's Program has some exciting things happening this year!

Our high school, middle school, and elementary classes will be studying Matthew along with the adults. Each age group has their own age appropriate books that allows them to study the Word for themselves.

Our high school and middle school have their own core groups and join the adults for teaching time. Our elementary (Junior and Primary) classes pray, play games, sing, review their weekly questions, and learn even more about the Word through their own weekly teaching time.

Our youngest CBS kids (K3-K5) take part in Sheep Classes. Our Sheep are taught the Word through big stories of the Bible. They color, craft, sing, memorize scripture, and learn about the Word through teaching time each week.

Next Gen Ministry

Our Next Gen Children and Youth program is available for children ages three through high school. Our three to five year olds learn Bible stories, pray together, memorize scripture, and make crafts. Our elementary students have their own age-appropriate Bible study covering the same book the adults are studying. Children's books are colorful and engaging and are powerfully effective in teaching children the importance of studying the Word of God. Elementary students also have a lesson taught each week by their teacher. This year Middle and High School students will have their own age approporiate books, participate in their own core groups, and join adults for teaching time. At every level, children are given a strong foundation in the truth.

Young Adult

Ever wanted to be part of a community where relationships and studying the Bible are a central focus? Well then, come along to our dynamic Young Adult groups that meet at the same time as our other CBS classes. And no, you don’t have to have a PhD in theology or belong to a specific denomination.
